The following is a list of handbooks and useful Websites that are available to help you get acquainted with what USC has to offer.
Catalogue
At 978 pages, the course Catalogue is your academic roadmap for USC. Organized by school, the Catalogue lists detailed descriptions and requirements for every major, minor, certificate and program offered at the university as well as course descriptions. It’s the book both current and prospective students refer to for information regarding everything from school admission requirements to interdisciplinary programs. The Catalogue is published by the University Publications office and is updated annually. A copy is distributed to all entering students at their Orientation sessions. Catalogues are available for purchase at the USC Bookstore for $18. The Catalogue is also available online at usc.edu/catalogue.
Student Affairs Website and Facebook Page
The USC Student Affairs Website at studentaffairs.usc.edu features all the news you need to know to make the most of your time at USC. The Website keeps you informed about Trojan life outside the classroom with news articles, videos, an events calendar, profiles, and links to Student Affairs departments and campus partners. Topics range from volunteer work, student government, residential education, cultural and leadership opportunities to student-run media, career services, learning assistance, health promotion and the Trojan Marching Band.
Trojans who visit the Student Affairs Facebook page at facebook.com/uscstudentaffairs and click "like" receive additional up-to-the-minute updates about campus life, programs, services and events.
The goal of these online resources is to create an integrated learning experience that helps you reach your educational, personal and professional aspirations.
MyUSC
MyUSC is the university's portal designed to give students, faculty and staff a personalized access to wide-ranging campus resources in a single location on the Web. Through MyUSC, you can customize your own homepage based on personal preferences and interests. To access MyUSC, click the link on the USC home page or go to my.usc.edu and log in using your USC email username and password.
SCampus
While the Catalogue details what USC offers academically, SCampus is the book that offers information about how to make your college experience more fulfilling and well-rounded. Planning Calendars, Student Services, Student Activities, University Governance and Explore L.A. are just a few of the sections in this student guidebook. The departmental telephone directory and maps section are particularly popular with students. The oldest publication for students at USC, SCampus is distributed during Orientation, over-the-counter in the Undergraduate Student Government Office in Ronald Tutor Campus Center 224 and is available online at usc.edu/scampus.
OASIS
You can access your academic and financial related information through OASIS (usc.edu/OASIS or my.usc.edu), the Online Academic Student Information System. OASIS allows you to view your:
- registered course list
- book list
- enrollment verification
- permit to register
- grade report
- completed course summary
- restrictions
- current billing balances
- financial aid
- transfer credit report
You may also use OASIS to:
- update your local and permanent address
- establish guest access to your education records
- change your password for OASIS and Web Registration
You will need your 10-digit USC ID number and your eight-digit alphanumeric password to view your records.
Schedule of Classes
The online schedule is updated every hour and contains the most up-to-date course offerings and enrollment totals.
Web Registration
Web registration is available at my.usc.edu and usc.edu/webregistration. Scheduling a class, but failing to register for your courses before the tuition and fees payment deadline is not a valid reason to request a waiver of the late registration fee.
