Performance Lab (1.0-4.0 units, max 12)
Intermediate and advanced solo and partnering techniques in classical, contemporary, and street dance. Some sections are open only to dance majors.
- Note: Certain sections are open to specific populations. Section 22521 (majors and adv. non-majors): This class will focus on advanced pointe solo choreography/excerpts from multiple ballets. Section 22523 (open): This course will focus on authentic forms of popular American social dances of the 20th century, such as the Texas Tommy, Lindy-Hop, Charleston, and more. Section 22526 (majors only): Learn a repertory work of Bella Lewitsky and train in Lewitsky-based Horton technique. To receive d-clearance for advanced non-major courses, contact uscdance@usc.edu.
