Issues in Sustainability

- Note: This thematic will promote the development of college-level writing and critical reading skills in the context of sustainable development, a contemporary movement that melds together concerns having to do with the environment, the economy, and social justice. In class workshops and through formal and informal writing assignments, students will have the opportunity to pursue individuated investigations into sustainability issues such as global warming, biodiversity, resource depletion, and the appropriate balance of economic and environmental requirements.
