Essentials and Digital Frontiers of Big Data (4.0 units)

An overview of key concepts of big data and related digital technologies and their applications to different business problems. Hands-on experience at introductory level.
  • Note: The course will offer an overview of key concepts of big data and related digital technologies and provide hands-on experiences at introductory level so students from different backgrounds WITH NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE ON DATA AND TECHNOLOGIES would know how to work with big data in a real firm using state-of-the-art digital tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Hadoop, Data Miner). The course will also prepare students for a range of data related jobs (marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, management).
