Dance 181b:
Contemporary Dance (2.0 units, max 4)
Continued study in the fusion of modern, post-modern dance and classical ballet techniques encompassing the study of the democratic nature of dance and choreographic composition in the 20th and 21st centuries.
- Prerequisite: DANC 181A
- Note: This is a unique opportunity to take Contemporary Dance with Bret Easterling, who joins after a prolific career with the acclaimed Batsheva Dance Company. Please see kaufman.usc.edu/faculty for a full biography. Due to the special nature of this class and to ensure an intimate experience, enrollment will be capped at 20 students. If you have previous dance experience, have not completed DANC 181A, and would like to take this course, please pick up a prerequisite waiver in KDC 203 or contact Cameo Beard at cameobea@usc.edu.
