Spring Semester 2018

Oct. 23-Jan. 5	Registration for continuing students
Nov. 16-Jan. 5	Registration for returning students and continuing students
Jan. 4-5	Registration for spring semester continues
Jan. 5	Last day to register and settle without late fee
Jan. 8	Spring semester classes begin for Session 001
Jan. 8-12	Late registration and change of program for Session 001
Jan. 15	Martin Luther King Day, university holiday
Jan. 26	Deadline for purchasing or showing proof of health insurance
Jan. 26	Last day to register and add classes for Session 001
Jan. 26	Last day to drop a class without a mark of “W,” except for Monday-only classes, and receive a refund for Session 001
Jan. 26	Last day to change enrollment option to Pass/No Pass or Audit for Session 001
Jan. 26	Last day to purchase or waive tuition refund insurance
Jan. 30	Last day to drop a Monday-only class without a mark of “W” and receive a refund or change to Pass/No Pass or Audit for Session 001
Feb. 19	Presidents’ Day, university holiday
Feb. 23	Last day to drop a course without a mark of “W” on the transcript *Please drop any course by the end of week three (or the week three equivalent for short sessions) to avoid tuition charges.
Feb. 23	Last day to change a Pass/No Pass course to letter grade
March 11-18	Spring recess
March 30	Thesis/Dissertation Manuscript submission deadline
April 6	Last day to drop a class with a mark of “W” for Session 001
April 27	Spring semester classes end
April 28-May 1	Study days
May 2-9	Final examinations

Registration Dates for Spring 2018

Currently Enrolled Students

Wednesday, Oct. 4	Registration appointment times and permit to register information will be available for review online on at my.usc.edu. Students may register through Web Registration at my.usc.edu.
Monday, Oct. 16	Students may obtain D class assignments and department advisement.
Oct. 23, 2017-Jan. 5, 2018	Registration for continuing students by Web Registration.

Returning Students

Newly Admitted Students

Newly admitted students register during Orientation. New students should contact the Orientation Office to register for an Orientation session.

Limited Status Students

Limited status students may request spring 2018 enrollment starting Nov. 16 by contacting the Registrar One Stop Center or visiting John Hubbard Hall Lobby.

Thursday, Nov. 16	Returning (absent one or more semesters) students may obtain a registration appointment time and permit to register information by contacting the Registrar One Stop Center.
Nov. 16, 2017-Jan. 5, 2018	Registration for returning (absent two or more semesters) students by Web Registration.
