An introduction to various genres within Dance and New Media, including simple hands-on work with existing and emerging technologies used in creating and delivering media-dance works. No previous dance experience is required.
- Note: History and Context is a lecture-based course that provides an introduction to various genres within Dance and New Media, including hands-on work with existing and emerging technologies used in creating and delivering media-dance works. The Art of Video Projection is a practice-based course that will cover the technical and creative aspects of using video projection technology in conjunction with live dancing bodies. Neither course requires previous dance and media experience.
