Solar system, two-body problem, orbits. Hohmann transfer, rocket equation, space environment and its effects on space systems, sun, solar wind, geomagnetic field, atmosphere, ionosphere, magnetosphere. Prerequisites: MATH 226 and PHYS 152L. Recommended preparation: Skill in MATLAB programming.
