<event-description>The USC School of Cinematic Arts and Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity invite you to a memorial tribute to Bryan Richard Frost.

Schedule

7 p.m. Welcoming remarks by Drew Wolfe, Jason Lubin and Luke Whiteside

7:15 p.m. Screening of Frost's CTPR-508 film

7:30 p.m. Screening of Frost's favorite film, Dumb and Dumber (1994)

This event is open to all USC students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as to Frost's many friends and family.

About Bryan Frost

Bryan Richard Frost, 23, of Eagle, Idaho, passed away September 18, 2008. He was born April 26, 1985, in Boise, Idaho, to Jere Richard Frost and Paige Whitfield Lee. Bryan Frost grew up in Boise and graduated from Eagle High School in 2003. He was an excellent student and athlete. While attending school in Boise, he received many academic and athletic awards. He won the Boise City Wrestling title at his middle school and participated on the lacrosse and state championship football teams while in high school. He was a 4.0 student who loved to learn. From a young age, Frost would always set high goals for himself and then consistently achieve them. After high school graduation, he received a congressional nomination to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. He spent two years at West Point and then transferred to USC. Frost graduated from USC with a bachelor's degree in economics in May 2007.

While Frost had the option of pursuing any number of high-paying jobs and settling for a comfortable life, he instead made the decision to pursue his passion for making movies, and so returned the next fall for a post-baccalaureate degree at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. This past summer, Frost traveled to Pakistan, where he worked with friends to write, direct and produce a film about the Iraq war. While there, Frost traveled through the Himalayan mountains in northern Pakistan, which he proclaimed to be the most beautiful peaks in the world. Bryan was a very compassionate person who felt relationships were of the utmost importance in life. He brought many diverse people together and never had any preconceived judgments of anyone based on background, race or religion. He was deeply and dearly loved by every one of his friends and family members. He was a beautiful, happy person who could always be found goofing off in photographs. He enjoyed all sports, but especially snowboarding, wakeboarding and college football. He loved his Boise State Broncos, and was with his family to see the incredible 2005 Fiesta Bowl victory. Frost was a driven young man. His accomplishments were numerous, as were his friendships with so many. He loved USC and all that it represented. He believed it was more important to follow a dream than to settle for anything less. He absolutely would have accomplished so much more in life.

About Dumb and Dumber

Selected as one of Frost's favorite films by his closest friends, Dumb and Dumber is the breakthrough comedy by the Farrelly brothers about two friends, Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunner (Jeff Daniels), roommates who drive from Providence to Aspen hoping to return a missing briefcase to a beautiful woman whose husband has been kidnapped.

Print provided courtesy of Warner Bros. Rated PG-13, 107 min.

About Parking
The USC School of Cinematic Arts is located at 850 West 34th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007.
