Brad Bouley, postdoctoral fellow of the USC department of history, lectures at the Haunting Religion seminar.
The lecture is a part of "Haunting Religion," a seminar sponsored by the Center for Religion and Civic Culture's Interdisciplinary Research Group. The seminars focus on religious conceptions of, and responses to, the dead, the paranormal, the supernatural, and the otherworldly.
Brad Bouley is a historian of early modern Europe who focuses on religious and scientific developments. Currently he is working on turning his dissertation into a book and completing articles about the finances of the Roman Inquisition and cannibalism in early modern Italy. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2012.
Haunting Religion is organized by Lisa Bitel, professor of history and religion, and Lynn Swartz Dodd, director of the Archaeology Research Center at USC.
