Two lunches, two USC professors, two chances to learn how to aim for that lofty academic goal.
How many times have you wondered what it is that people do to win a Nobel prize, wondered if you could win one yourself, or even placed small, unofficial bets on the winners?
The College Commons is hosting two lunches in which USC College faculty discuss the year’s awards, describing the crucial work, offering insights into its relevance, and perhaps handicapping the other possibilities. Join USC College’s Clifford Johnson (Physics and Astronomy), Hilary Schor and experts in various fields for a freewheeling conversation — and perhaps, if someone in your fields wins a prize, be one of the “expert witnesses” yourself. (Be sure to place your own bets early!)
