The USC Thornton Apollo Men’s Chorus and Oriana Women’s Choir present “From Freude und Lust to molly and may,” with music from the Baroque era to the present.

The first half of the program features music of rejoicing, ranging from the operatic pageantry of Handel to the gentle joy of USC Thornton faculty Nick Strimple’s Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis. The second half consists of works from the last hundred years, and includes text settings drawn from such diverse sources as medieval Persian poetry and e. e. cummings.
