Dale Warland, world-renowned choral director, presents a master class as well as a lecture/demonstration, Choral Music: An Agent for Social Change.
Folk and popular musicians are often seen as being at the cutting edge of social-justice issues. However, we do not usually think of choral music as having an active role in social issues. In this lecture/demonstration, Dale Warland, a world-renowned choral director, will examine how choral music has been pushing social boundaries since the time of the Renaissance.
Presented by Visions and Voices: the USC Arts and Humanities Initiative
