Early registration before April 19: $125 individual, $100 per person for groups of five, $60 student. After April 19, add $25 to cost.


The Sanville Institute for Clinical Social Work and Psychotherapy presents the 5th Jean Sanville Day with a presentation by Martha Stark, MD, and honoring Marleen Wong, PhD, LCSW.

Stark will present “Integrating Four Modes of Therapeutic Action” illustrated with clinical examples and cross-cultural discussion that will help you explore what happens between you and your client.

Marleen Wong, clinical professor and assistant dean of field education at the USC School of Social Work, will be given the first Jean Sanville Day Award in recognition of a professional career that exemplifies the values and interests of Jean Sanville. Wong graduated from the institute in 2005.

The Sanville Institute is a unique, free-standing doctoral program that was the first clinical social work doctoral program in the country. Jean Sanville helped to found the institute in 1974, and it was renamed in 2005 to honor Sanville's outstanding contributions to the field of social work.

Continental breakfast, lunch and parking are included in the registration fee.

Six continuing education units will be given to LCSWs, MFTs and psychologists (CEU provider 272, MCEP provider SAN150).
