Assistant Clinical Professor Val Reyes will discuss the utilization of social workers on the battlefield and the Army’s current model BATTLEMIND, which is designed to find and support a soldier’s inner strength as he/she faces adversity with courage in a battle zone. He will also address the use of BATTLEMIND on the homefront as soldiers transition from combat to home. Professor Reyes is a Lieutenant Colonel serving in the U.S. Army Reserves. Refreshments served.
