Huey Copeland is Director of Graduate Studies and Associate Professor of Art History at Northwestern University’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. He is a regular contributor to Artforum and has been published in a number of contemporary art journals. His forthcoming book Bound to Appear: Art, Slavery, and the Site of Blackness in Multicultural America will be published by the University of Chicago Press.
