Advocates for African American Elders' first public event aims to raise awareness about the Missing Alzheimer's Patient Bill and introduce the broader community to the work that it is engaged with on behalf of African American Seniors.
Last year, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) introduced H.R. 2800, a bill to reauthorize the Missing Alzheimer's Disease Patient Alert Program. Advocates for African American Elders (AAAE) at the USC Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging welcomes Rep. Waters to discuss the bill with the community and be honored for her long-standing service and advocacy on behalf of older adults and other vulnerable populations in the community.
