Co-conducted by H. Robert Reynolds and Sharon Lavery, the USC Thornton Wind Ensemble will present a fantastic concert highlighting the work of contemporary women composers.
The program will feature the work of two USC Thornton composers, Veronika Krausas and Erica Muhl, as well as several other distinguished composers, including Joan Tower (who will be a special guest at the event), Jennifer Higdon (2010 Pulitzer Prize winner) and Kathryn Salfelder. The ensemble will be joined by James Babor, Thornton School percussion faculty member, in a spectacular performance of Higdon’s Percussion Concerto.
