Activist-entrepreneurs Jose Palafox and Justin Pearson discuss their long commitment to artistic expression and social reform in a range of media platforms.

Hosted by USC’s Center for Higher Education Policy Analysis, this symposium is the culminating sociocultural event for the ninth annual session of SummerTIME (Tools, Information, Mentoring, Education), a four-week writing and college preparation program for low-income, first-generation, college-bound seniors from LAUSD high schools.

Jose Palafox and Justin Pearson will talk about their work in a variety of media platforms, including punk-hardcore music, documentary film, book publishing, journalism and blogs.
