A baker and his wife journey into the woods in search of a cow, a red cape, a pair of golden slippers and some magic beans.
Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
Book by James Lapine
Directed by John Rubinstein
A childless couple goes in search of the materials necessary to lift a witch’s curse. A seamless fusion of fairy tale characters and what happens after “happily ever after,” Into the Woods is a music lover’s delight from start to finish. It features songs such as “Children Will Listen” and “No One Is Alone.” What begins as a lively, irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.
