James Murday of the D.C. Office of Research Advancement guides participants who wish to submit a grant application for basic research to the DoD and/or DoE.
This course will focus on the unique proposal requirements and review processes for the Departments of Defense and Energy. The objective is to educate investigators in the complete process of formulating a successful DoD/DoE grant proposal: building relationships and identifying opportunities with DoD/DoE program managers, determining their priorities and the availability of funds, structuring the application, submitting the application, and advocating effectively to get the application funded.
