About the California Social Welfare Archives
The California Social Welfare Archives (CSWA) maintains the most extensive and complete collection of social welfare history in Southern California. The USC-recognized organization is supported by the School of Social Work.
Established in 1978, the California Social Welfare Archives acquires and preserves information of historical significance, documenting the development of social welfare in California and making it accessible for future generations. This unique collection of California social welfare history is part of the university's archival program and derives some support from the university libraries. In 2002, the Social Work Hall of Distinction was added to CSWA's mission to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to California social welfare and the social work profession.
Proceeds from this luncheon and other contributions assist in purchasing archival services so that CSWA's rich collection of historical items and interviews is available for use by students and scholars, as well as contemporary policymakers.
Please respond by October 15 and make checks payable to "California Social Welfare Archives — University of Southern California." (All but $45 of your contribution is tax-deductible.)
Parking is provided at Gate 3 for $8.
