The Roski School hosts a talk with Ruben Ochoa, a local Los Angeles-based artist with an eye on our freeways.
Ruben Ochoa currently lives and works in Los Angeles. He received his M.F.A. from the University of California, Irvine in 2001. He has exhibited at the Roy and Edna Disney CalArts Theatre in Los Angeles, Greyscale in San Diego, the Orange County Museum of Art's California Biennial, the Project in Los Angeles, and the Harris Lieberman gallery in New York. He has received awards from Creative Capital, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Durfee Foundation and the California Community Foundation. Ochoa, whose sculpture was included in the 2008 Whitney Biennial, has had solo exhibitions at Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles and Berlin Projects, L.A.
