Spectrum welcomes Jim Clifton, chairman and CEO of The Gallup Organization Inc., to campus.
The Gallup Poll is the division of Gallup that regularly conducts public opinion polls in the United States as well as in more than 140 countries around the world. Gallup Polls are often referenced in the mass media as a reliable and objective measure of public opinion. In 2008, Gallup is interviewing no fewer than 1,000 U.S. adults each day, providing the most watched daily tracking poll of the race between John McCain and Barack Obama.
Jim Clifton led the acquisition of The Gallup Organization in 1988 also becoming the CEO of the organization. Under Clifton's leadership, Gallup has enjoyed a 15-fold increase in its billing volume and has expanded from a predominantly U.S.-based company to a global organization with more than 40 offices in 20 countries.
