MacGyver's Richard Dean Anderson kicks off this 5K fundraiser in Long Beach supporting the Keck School's Pain Center.
Proceeds from the 1st annual USC Quench the Fire 5K Fun Run/Walk will help raise awareness of neuropathic and other chronic pain conditions, such as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. Funds from this event will be directed for research, patient education and community outreach.
The 5K Run/Walk and the One Mile Fun Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at El Dorado Park in Long Beach. The Kids' Fun Run begins at 9:30 a.m.
All participants receive a T-shirt and goodie bag.
