Julia Bryan-Wilson is Associate Professor of Contemporary Art and Director of the Ph.D. Program in Visual Studies at UC Irvine. She is the author of Art Workers: Radical Practice in the Vietnam War Era (University of California Press, 2009), and as well as an art critic who has published on Ida Applebroog, Sadie Benning, Sharon Hayes, LTTR, Anne Wilson, and many others. She has received awards from the Warhol/Creative Capital foundation, the Henry Moore Research Institute, the Smithsonian, the Getty Research Institute, and the Center for Craft, Creativity, and Design.
