World renowned maverick conductor and USC Thornton alumnus, Michael Tilson Thomas returns to present an evening of reminiscing and music. With a variety of multimedia, “MTT” will share what it was like to be a student at USC during the tumultuous 1960s, embellished with musical selections he will conduct with the orchestra.

Two special fundraising concerts presented by legendary rocker Steve Miller, in celebration of the Thornton School’s 125th anniversary.

An eclectic concert hosted by the USC Thornton Alumni Association features incredible alumni performances, from classics to jazz.

Internationally acclaimed conductor Helmuth Rilling conducts Thornton students in Bach’s B Minor Mass, one of the monumental musical works of all time. This rarely performed work explores the meaning behind belief, religion, and spirituality through Bach’s emotional, mathematical, musical, and structural treatment of the Latin text.
