In 1991, the film Thelma & Louise was received by mainstream audiences to great acclaim and seen as a call to arms for gender equality in America. Thelma & Louise will be screened, followed by a discussion with its Academy Award–winning screenwriter, Callie Khouri about the film’s impact on the motion-picture industry, the culture at large and gender roles today.
