Event Schedule: Tuesday, April 6, 5 p.m.: Davidson Conference Center, University Park Campus Wednesday, April 7, 5 p.m.: Aresty Auditorium, Health Sciences Campus Award-winning journalist Jon Cohen has covered infectious diseases for 15 years, traveling extensively in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and Mexico. Cohen will present two lectures on his work as a leading HIV/AIDS reporter and the importance of journalism and investigation on global epidemics. In addition to reporting on a wide range of scientific and medical topics for Science Magazine, Cohen has done in-depth, investigative stories about the National Institutes of Health, biodefense, tobacco industry funding of science, the troubled vaccine industry, credit battles, the genomics revolution and the science press itself. He also has written for the New Yorker, Atlantic Monthly, Talk, Discover, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Smithsonian, Slate, New Republic, Surfer and other publications.
