- Modeling Risk Assessment: Conversations Between the Dentist and HIV-infected Patients
- Presented by the USC School of Dentistry and the Oral Health Advisory Group of the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center.
This one-hour online training is intended to increase
the learner's confidence in initiating risk assessment conversations with patients. It does this by modeling four different exchanges that might occur in the dental office or clinic between the patient and the care provider. The topics covered include: Pregnancy and HIV, Adherence to Anti-retroviral Medications, Illegal Drug Use and Oral Sex.
This program is intended for all practitioners involved in caring for the oral health needs of patients.

- Rapid Testing for HIV at Labor and Delivery
- This one-hour online training is intended to increase the learner's knowledge related to rapid testing for HIV in Labor and Delivery settings. Topics include who should be offered an HIV screening test; when and how to offer an HIV test; and management of both negative and positive HIV test results. The program is intended for nurses but is applicable to all health care workers.
Certificates of Completion (in PDF format) for all professionals will be available immediately upon course completion. Please save the certificate to your desktop or print immediately as the certificate will not be available for retrieval once you have exited the program. One nursing contact hour is available to all nurses and is provider-approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #15124.
