Dean Bartlett Cromwell Field  Cromwell Field was named after legendary Trojan coach Dean Cromwell, who led USC’s track teams to 12 NCAA championships from 1926 to 1948. The facility has undergone several significant upgrades: In 1979, it gained an equipment storeroom and a weight room; in 1983, it was completely refurbished in preparation for serving as a training and warm-up facility during the 1984 Olympic games in Los Angeles; and the track was resurfaced again in 1991. In 1995, Cromwell Field became the site of the first USC-UCLA dual meet held on the USC campus. Most recently, the field was outfitted with new stadium seating in the Loker Track Stadium in 2002.
