Heritage Hall

Heritage Hall houses the University's athletic department and celebrates USC's glorious athletic heritage. Originally built in 1971, the building has been expanded in size three times, to add over 22,000 square feet to the initial 48,000. On display are some of USC's numerous athletic trophies, including various NCAA team championships, the Heisman trophies and winners' jerseys. There are also busts of athletic directors, coaches, and even one of John Wayne, who played football at USC in the 1920's under his real name, Marion Morrison. The bronze medallions of the Honors Rail salute every Trojan who has won an Olympic gold medal, captured an NCAA individual championship, or has been named first team All-American in any NCAA team sport in which there are no designated individual champions.
