USC’s Learning Communities
If you’re undecided about what major to choose, then USC’s Learning Communities may be just what you’re looking for. You’ll enroll in a course cluster that consists of two classes, one General Education course and one elective course. Your Learning Community of 15-20 students takes these two classes together, providing you with instant study groups and lab partners who share similar interests. For more information, call (213) 740-2534 and ask to speak with Learning Communities advisors Brandi Nichols or Juan Lopez. You can also visit the Web site or email learning@usc.edu.
University Band

“The University Band plays a prominent part in college festivities, such as games, rallies, etc. Upon declaration of war in April, 1917, the entire band volunteered and were called to the Colors to lead a Los Angeles division of the naval militia. Since that time a new band has been organized.”

Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) provides the necessary support to assist all student-athletes in reaching their full potential academically, personally and professionally. Our program includes academic advising, career development, community service, tutorial programs and learning specialists, all of which are aimed at promoting a philosophy of individual responsibility so as to encourage each student-athlete to value his or her educational experience. In providing such services, SAAS gives student-athletes the opportunity to develop the skills needed to persist toward graduation, become leaders within the community and lead successful and productive lives.
