The First Contact Initiative is designed to bolster your opportunities to interact directly with faculty and to find mentors on campus to help guide you to make important decisions. Student advisors will offer help with long-term career planning, formulating life goals and
personal development.
At the conclusion of your third and fifth semesters, you will meet with your advisor who will provide a written estimate of the time to degree within your current major. If you are considering changing your major, advisors can provide you with an accurate sense of where you stand in terms of fulfilling your degree requirements.

Getting to know a professor outside of the classroom environment is a wonderful learning experience. Our USC professors are so knowledgeable, resourceful, and personable! They really take the time to get to know students, help students discover their passions and interests, and provide information about how to get a hands-on educational experience.
