A great way to see L.A. is to use Flexcar, a car rental service. Not only is it sustainable but it’s easy! Go to http://www.flexcar.com/usc for more information.

Traveling around L.A. is difficult. Buses take awhile, taxi prices are horrendous–L.A. has some of the highest prices around. Taking your own car works well except that traffic is bad. Light rails might work pretty well as will the DASH. Truthfully L.A. has too many people for its own good.

A great way to get some information on places in the area is to get on Yelp.com. It is a site that offers reviews on restaurants, shops and other venues. And, it is a great way to get exposed to new places. I started using it when I moved to a new neighborhood, and it has made it a very fun transition!
