Students at USC receive access to the following information services, among others:

• free email
• Internet access
• personal Web site space
• high-speed wireless network
• free security software for download
• online course materials (Blackboard)
• hands-on software skills workshops
• public computing centers and labs (some open 24 hours)
• computing help

Class Registration Required

To take advantage of these services, you must be enrolled in classes for the current semester.

USC Computer Account

In order to access computing resources, students must be registered for classes or have paid their tuition deposit and certified that they will be attending USC. Students must also activate their USC account at www.usc.edu/firstlogin.

If you do not have access to a personal computer, visit one of ITS’s public computing centers and present your USCard at the service desk. You will be directed to one of the center’s computers. Go to www.usc.edu/firstlogin and follow the instructions. You can also learn everything you need to know about getting started with ITS’s services at www.usc.edu/its/new/students.html.
