Earlier versions of the message, from January 21 and 24, 2008, had the Subject line "VERIFY YOUR USC EMAIL ACCOUNT NOW." These messages were mailed from non-USC email addresses, such as accountupgrades2008@live.com.
Please remember that USC and ITS will never request that you submit personal information, including your password over email. ITS will never send you email from a non-USC email address. You should only provide your USC password on secure ITS login screens and on the secure ITS password change site (https://www.usc.edu/its/password).

If you have responded to a phishing scheme and submitted information about your USC password, you should immediately go to https://www.usc.edu/its/password to change your USC password.
